*Here are some answers to some questions you may have*
I’m considering hiring a coach. Where should I start?
The process begins with a telephone or Zoom connection call. This is where we determine if we are a good fit in forming a coaching partnership to pursue and achieve your goals and desires.

How does coaching work?
I coach my clients via telephone or Zoom 2-3 times per month. These private coaching sessions allow us to establish & strengthen our coaching partnership so we can deep dive into clarity, strategy and execution as well as affords us the opportunity for accountability and celebration.
What’s included with coaching? What else do I receive?
Please see my Individual Coaching Programs page here for details.
Not only do you receive private one-on-one coaching, you receive SO much more that is personalized to you and your journey.
Who is coaching for?
People from all walks of life find coaching helpful. I work with a variety of professionals in healthcare. Many of my clients need help in taking their career to the next level as well as further developing their leadership skills. We also find that work-life balance is a concern and work on this as well. My clients often need a supportive coach and strategic partner with experience. Someone who understands first hand their desires and their challenges.
How is consulting different from coaching? Are they the same thing?
A consultant is usually an expert in a specific industry, who will answer questions targeting improvements and/or projects. A consultant may even implement strategies and programs for individuals or businesses.
A coach will ask probing, thought-provoking questions to bring out your unique abilities and strengths to help you create a vision and plan for the future. A coach will walk with you while you implement changes in behavior, strategy and mindset.
A coach also holds you accountable, pushes and motivates you to do more than you would typically do on your own, and helps you overcome limiting beliefs and patterns that are holding you back from the success you desire.
I am both a consultant with expertise in healthcare leadership & management and a coach.
What’s the difference between coaching and therapy? Are they the same?
A therapist focuses on the past and delves into issues that require specialized training and licensure.
A coach also has specialized training to help clients focus on the future and move forward when feeling “stuck.” A coach is your accountability partner in success and can help you discover your values, passions and strengths.
I am a trained coach, NOT a therapist.
How long do clients typically work with a coach?
Many successful professionals find that coaching is a critical key element to excellent performance, expanded learning, successful regular achievements, as well as fulfillment, purpose and enjoyment in life. Therefore, they choose to work with a coach on a continuing basis. While coaching can be very effective for short-term change, I have clients who continue coaching with me for an average of 12 months, some longer.
I do ask clients to make a commitment to work with me for a minimum of three to six months. This is because any new strategies and behaviors we put into practice now may take from three to six months to establish and show results. Though a majority of my clients see results sooner.
Will my confidential information be safe with you?
I do not talk about my clients. I maintain strict client confidentiality with all your professional and personal information as per the guidelines of the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
Who will be doing the work? Myself as the client or you as the coach?
This is your career and your life. The responsibility for success ultimately rests with you. I am here to guide you, provide resources, challenge and motivate you and keep you accountable. However, you must do the work to achieve the success you desire.
